Job Purpose
Lead the unit sales team to execute the sales plan, achieve the sales volume, market execution and customer service objectives through effective leadership.
What you will do in your role
- Responsible for communicating volume forecasts and leading the execution of business plans.
- Work frequently with Supervisors & Reps (at all levels of the trade) to understand and fulfil customer’s needs.
- Take a proactive leadership role in selling to customers, anticipating, and resolving emerging problems.
- Provide timely and accurate communication between field, distribution, and accounting.
- Analyze monthly the unit results, action plans, and update RSM with progress through a monthly report.
- Provide ongoing coaching to all supervisors within the unit and ensure they are properly trained and motivated to achieve their objectives.
- Reports competitive activities to the Area Sales Manager
- Train and develop the sales team to raise the managerial skill standards to set them ready for promotion.
- Put in place the optimal unit structure that leads to best productivity results.
- Ensure annual evaluations are conducted at 100% of Supervisors & Sales Reps.
- Complying with the Company’s Credit/Cash Policy
- Submit reports concerning:
- Volume Results
- In-store business results (Distribution, Visibility, Shelving, Pricing)
- Customers' feedback
- Improving routes productivity KPIs for all routes within your territory
What you will bring to the role
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the same role with an FMCG company
- Good command of English language
- Leadership skills
- Thinking and problem-solving skills
- Priority setting skills
- Bachelor’s degree of business or any equivalent
